Great sport and a great atmosphere at the premiere of the LOWA Trail Trophy from May 21 to 25, 2025
The LOWA Trail Trophy from May 21 to 25, 2025 was a special premiere: spectacular landscapes, rain and snow in the mountains, muddy trails, exciting competitions and a great atmosphere among the 300 or so runners. The fastest man was Matthias Reichert from the Allgäu Racing Team, the fastest woman was Sonja Kinnert from Austria.
The LOWA Trail Trophy started in Pfronten in the Allgäu and led over 4 stages with the towns of Grän, Weissenbach and Reutte back to Pfronten. And the stages, which were between 23 and 30 kilometers long, had it all: race director Martin Hafenmair’s route ensured pure trail running on narrow, alpine paths, sometimes secured by ropes, with rain and snow and sometimes mandatory helmets. This not only made for great experiences, but also for spectacular pictures, including the occasional slide. The delicious and daily changing catering (including Kaiserschmarrn, spinach dumplings, waffles, apple strudel, etc.), top organization and dedicated stage locations left an excellent overall impression on the cheerful participants.
